I want to alert you about a recent scam attempt I experienced, hoping it might prevent others from falling victim. I received a call claiming I had been approved for a loan. The caller’s approach was immediately suspicious for several reasons.

Firstly, they requested that I purchase a gift card or use Western Union to send money, which they claimed would be returned after gaining access to my bank account. This is a classic red flag in scam operations, as legitimate financial institutions do not operate in this manner for loan approvals or transactions.

Secondly, the caller asked for all my personal information. Sharing such sensitive details over the phone, especially with an unknown party, is incredibly risky and a common tactic used by scammers to commit identity theft or financial fraud.

I urge everyone to be extremely cautious with such calls. If you receive a similar call, do not provide any personal information or agree to send money in any form. Legitimate financial institutions and loan processes do not require such unconventional and unsafe practices.
