I was approached through Instagram by someone who provided me with a basic education on the trading process. I made investments using Bitcoin and then followed instructions to transfer it to the company’s wallet on the Optimal Token platform. I observed the dollar amount in my account increase daily. After five days, I was eligible to withdraw the funds via transfer to my bank account. I attempted to withdraw $75,000 but was informed that the process would not complete until I paid a 15% commission upfront. After discussing this unexpected policy with customer support on the site for two days, my account was suddenly “suspended” upon my return to the site. Concurrently, the woman who had been assisting me with my investments (and who had assured me that this policy wouldn’t apply to me as I was a new account holder) informed me through our WhatsApp chat that her responses would be delayed due to personal matters she was dealing with.
