If you’ve been approached by someone using the name “Susanto” or linked to cryptocurrency wallets traced to Binance or HitBTC, proceed cautiously. This scam involves promises of profitable investments and uses Bitcoin transactions through platforms like CashApp. The scammer lures victims with enticing opportunities and then vanishes after transferring funds. Investigations revealed that this scammer operates out of Indonesia, making recovery efforts challenging due to jurisdictional issues.

In this case, the victim lost nearly $20,000 after trusting the scammer’s claims. Law enforcement confirmed the suspect’s identity but couldn’t pursue prosecution due to international legal limitations. Despite these challenges, our investigators at CNC Intelligence traced the transactions and worked closely with law enforcement. We provided detailed reports and assisted in identifying the scammer’s activities.

We believe this scam is part of a more extensive operation targeting individuals worldwide. The suspect’s use of established exchanges like Binance shows a deliberate attempt to legitimize fraudulent activities. This should be a clear warning to stay vigilant. If an opportunity sounds too good to be true, it probably is. Always verify the source and avoid sending funds to unverified individuals.

If you’ve experienced something similar, don’t hesitate to contact us. Together, we can fight back against these schemes.
