The victim attempted to withdraw $10,000 from their account, only to have the transaction frozen by the scam’s customer service team, who demanded an additional $2,500 to release the funds. This alarming request is a hallmark of what’s commonly known as a “pig butchering scam,” where victims are led to believe they have substantial gains only to be asked for more money under false pretenses.
