Today, let’s dive into the murky waters of BitcashEx and its related scams. Recently, a report surfaced from a Washington resident, claiming a loss of $7,400 through bitcashex.top or bitcashex.com, currently defunct domains.
BitcashEx – The Initial Discovery
The victim used the Bitcash app for trading. After some investigation, neither bitcashex.top nor bitcashex.com are active, but we stumbled upon another inactive site, bitcashex.space.
Deeper Insights into BitcashEx’s Operations
1. Bitcashex.com:
– Registered in 2017 by a Chinese entity.
– Associated with social media accounts, including a Facebook page and a suspended Twitter handle.
– Linked to an individual, Iyke Nwanosike, who also owns an Instagram account connected to bitcashex.com.2. Bitcashex.top:
– Created in December 2021 by Dan Li from Henan, China.
– Meta descriptions and titles suggest a connection to “Bitcash.”
– A review on scamdoc.com warns against using this platform due to withdrawal issues.3. Bitcashex.space:
– Registered in January 2022.
– Offers services like buying, selling, and trading cryptocurrencies.
– Terms of Service seem to be copied from Kraken.com.
