Victims were misled by an individual named Wayne Parks on Telegram and convinced to invest significant sums after initial small withdrawals were allowed to build trust. The scam escalated as victims referred others and pooled funds, leading to losses exceeding £30,000. When attempting to withdraw, victims were blackmailed into depositing more money.
