We want to warn you about a serious scam involving Crypto1Capital UK and two individuals named David Bianco and Andrea Ferrero. These individuals are actively defrauding people through false investment recovery schemes.
Crypto1Capital UK Scam – Case Study
One of our recent cases revealed that these scammers operate by contacting victims through Facebook, pretending to be legitimate financial advisors.
In this instance, the scammers provided contact details, including David Bianco’s phone number: +44 7311560780 and Andrea Ferrero’s phone number: +44 7586003865, and requested payments to Andrea Ferrero’s cryptocurrency wallet, which is bc1qrccdyn3egpkcrvpcxkdxd9k52uatre5ahgv5l4.
If you come across these details or are contacted by anyone from Crypto1Capital UK, you are likely dealing with fraudsters.
This scam operates in two phases.
First, victims are lured in by promises of financial recovery or lucrative investments, often through casual, unsolicited messages on social media platforms like Facebook.
The scammers present themselves as experienced financial advisors who offer to assist in recovering funds lost in previous scams.
They establish communication and gain the victim’s trust over time by pretending to act in their best interest.
Once they have established enough trust, the scammers request the victim transfer funds, claiming that these are necessary fees for withdrawing or completing specific transactions.
In the case we investigated, the scammers asked for €1057 as a “withdrawal fee” under the pretense that Coin Market Cap, a reputable cryptocurrency tracking platform, was holding the funds.
Cryptocurrency Recovery Scam
The second phase of the scam begins when the victim transfers the requested funds, believing it will facilitate the recovery of their lost money.
Instead, the scammers immediately disappear or demand more payments, explaining that additional fees or taxes must be paid.
In our investigation, the funds were transferred to wallets across the globe, making recovery exceedingly tricky.
The victim lost an additional $1000 after being manipulated into paying the withdrawal fee to Andrea Ferrero.
The scam takes advantage of people who have already experienced losses, falsely promising a recovery in exchange for even more money.
From our investigation, we believe the scammers are targeting people who have been previously scammed or who are vulnerable and seeking help.
They take advantage of trust, primarily through platforms like Facebook, which can give a false sense of security.
They use cryptocurrency transactions to make their fraudulent activities harder to trace.
Despite the complexity of the operation, with transactions moving through exchanges like Binance, MEXC.com, and HTX, the common theme in these scams is the request for upfront payments in exchange for promises of financial recovery.
We strongly advise you to be cautious if approached by anyone offering to recover your lost funds in exchange for an upfront fee.
Scammers often exploit the emotions and desperation of people who have lost money.
Bottom Line
Based on all the evidence we’ve gathered and the victim’s experience, it is clear that Crypto1Capital UK, David Bianco, and Andrea Ferrero are running a sophisticated scam.
The fact that funds were moved to multiple wallets across different exchanges and the scammers demanded further payments solidifies this as a well-planned fraudulent scheme.
We urge you to avoid interactions with these individuals and never agree to send money or cryptocurrency to anyone claiming to recover your funds.
If you are ever in doubt, seek professional guidance and ensure you deal with verified trustworthy sources.
This is undoubtedly a scam, and we recommend you steer clear of anyone associated with Crypto1Capital UK or any supposed financial advisor who asks for upfront payments.
If you’ve been scammed, we can help by tracing the cryptocurrency transactions.
