MerchantBest.org is a deceptive cryptocurrency investment platform designed to lure victims with false promises of high returns. Unfortunately, I fell for this scam and lost approximately $700 in the process.
After making a deposit, I was provided with a crypto wallet address to send my funds. However, once the transaction was completed, the platform failed to credit my account. I reached out to their so-called support team, but all my inquiries were ignored. No funds were received, no withdrawals were processed, and my account access was eventually restricted.
Red Flags & Domain Details
A deeper investigation into MerchantBest.org reveals several warning signs:
- Newly Registered Domain: The website was registered on August 8, 2024, and is set to expire in August 2025 – a clear indication that this could be a short-lived scam operation.
- Fake or Hidden Ownership: The domain is registered via Gname.com Pte. Ltd., but the registrant’s real identity remains undisclosed.
- Suspicious Hosting: The site operates under Cloudflare name servers (nero.ns.cloudflare.com & pola.ns.cloudflare.com), commonly used by fraudulent sites to hide their actual server location.
- No Customer Support: All contact attempts, including email inquiries, remain unanswered.
