Quick alert about a fake crypto website that looks almost real
I am posting this quickly because I came across something today that could easily trick people.
Earlier I was searching for a trading platform and clicked on a website that looked exactly like a well known exchange. The layout, colors, and login page all looked correct. At first I thought it was the official site.
Before logging in, I noticed the URL was slightly different. Only one extra letter in the domain name. Very easy to miss.
Out of curiosity I checked a few more things.
The site asked for login details immediately without showing any real market data.
There was no proper company information on the page.
The support chat responded instantly with generic answers.
I then searched the domain online and found it was registered very recently.
To be sure, I opened the real exchange in another tab and compared both pages. The fake one had small differences in font and button placement. Not obvious unless you look carefully.
If someone enters their login details on a site like that, their account could be compromised within minutes.
Just sharing this here so others stay careful. Always double check the URL before logging in, especially when accessing crypto platforms.
