A romance scam targeting crypto investors caught our attention recently. The scammer lured the victim through Silver Singles and convinced them to send cryptocurrency to a provided address. The scam involved Trust Wallet and crypto.com, using false promises of high returns. The scammer deleted their Telegram account and phone number immediately after receiving the funds. The total loss amounted to $38,500, with identified cashouts through Bybit and Binance.

We investigated the case thoroughly, tracing transactions and preparing detailed reports. The scammer exploited the victim’s unfamiliarity with cryptocurrency platforms, promising to add $50,000 to their account. After gaining trust, the scammer guided the victim through transferring funds directly to their wallet. This case highlights the complexity of modern scams and the importance of being vigilant when approached online.
