Type of Scam: Investment Scam
Details: The victim was contacted via email by someone claiming to represent a YouTube expert they knew, using the email address benjamincoweninv@gmail.com. The scammer encouraged the victim to register on the fraudulent platform http://www.opalinvest.io and allowed them to invest. As the victim made deposits, they were repeatedly asked for more Bitcoin transfers. The victim began to realize the scheme was suspicious and canceled the third transfer from their Blockfi account.
