A user reported a scam involving a fake celebrity account on Facebook posing as Ana de Armas, leading to fraudulent investment schemes via Telegram. The scam details are as follows:

      1. Initial Contact: Using the Telegram handle Ana_de_Armas543, the scammer promised a high return on investment if $200 AUD was paid biweekly.
      2. Further Instructions: The user was directed to another Telegram account, @Liberty_crypto_exchangex, claiming to be part of a crypto cloud mining business.
      3. Coinbase Setup: The victim was instructed to open a Coinbase wallet on wrightox.cd.id.com.
      4. Payment Demands: Payments were made to the following addresses:
        – 0.14 BTC to an address linked to payfundsaft.cd.id (12/03).
        – $500 USD transaction fee to support@help.coinbassenftsupport.com.
        – $500 USD to Kittygirl1985@yahoo.com.
        – $1000 USD security upgrade fee to Kittygirl9185@yahoo.com.

Important Note: The amounts sent and the associated email addresses indicate a high likelihood of fraud.

I have been contacted by an account claiming to be Ana De Armas. The profile image for her page is a green capital A.

She subsequently sent me a business message via messenger after I posted a comment about one of her recent films Blade Runner.

After a short texting exchange, she asked me to reach out to her via a dodgy Telegram link she shared with me, even though I have already installed the app.

Believing the link to be a scam I didn’t  download.

          cheers

Thanks for sharing your experience, Miles. It sounds like the same scam operation trying to impersonate celebrities to lure victims into fraudulent crypto investments. Good call on avoiding the Telegram link—these often lead to phishing attempts or direct scam engagement. If you come across any more details, such as usernames, email addresses, or wallet addresses, feel free to share them here so we can help warn others. Stay cautious!
