We have received a complaint regarding a scam operating on the website https://www.desertcart.club/#/.

Victims are contacted by a person named Celia Jones through WhatsApp and are asked to make crypto deposits to earn commissions and salaries by doing reviews. Initially, no payment is required, but later “welfare orders” are introduced, compelling victims to deposit more money to proceed.

According to another complaint regarding desertcart.club, victims were offered commissions for writing reviews. They were asked to deposit Bitcoin via CashApp with promises of high returns. After sending the money, the victims found their accounts shut down.

Victims report losing significant amounts and are unable to withdraw their funds. If this individual or website has scammed you, please share your story.

      1. Unsolicited Contact: Victims are contacted out of the blue by Celia Jones via WhatsApp.
      2. Too Good to Be True: Offers high commissions for writing reviews and promises to earn significant money quickly.
      3. Upfront Payments: Victims are asked to make payments (e.g., $306 in Bitcoin via CashApp) to proceed with “welfare orders” or to unlock promised earnings.
      4. Account Shut Down: Victims find their accounts shut down after making payments and cannot withdraw their funds.
      5. Multiple Domain Names: The scam is associated with multiple similar domains (desertcart.club and desertcart.bond).
      6. Anonymous Registration: The domain registrant information is anonymized, making it difficult to trace the owners.
      7. High-Risk Domain Registrars: The domains are registered with Gname.com Pte. Ltd., a registrar that sometimes caters to high-risk domains.
      8. Lack of Transparency: The scam site lacks detailed contact information and professional business credentials.

If you encounter such red flags, exercise caution and avoid making any payments.
