ScamCrypto.net has received reports of fraudulent activity involving the cryptocurrency trading platform Topkex (topkex.com). A victim from California initially had success withdrawing funds from the platform but later had their account frozen after an alleged “abnormal transaction” was detected. The scammers then demanded a $30,000 payment to unlock the account. The victim sent $3,000 before refusing further payments, at which point Topkex claimed it would permanently close the account and donate the funds to charity.

In total, the victim lost over $50,000 and has been unable to recover any of their money. The website is no longer operational. This scam follows the classic “Romance Baiting” scheme, where fraudsters manipulate victims into believing they are making profitable trades before locking access and demanding additional payments.
