Things I now check before investing in any crypto project
I didn’t use to think much about risk before investing, but after seeing a few bad outcomes around me, I started following some basic checks.
Just sharing what I personally look at now.
If a project promises steady or guaranteed returns, I pause immediately.
If the platform is new and I can’t find independent reviews, I avoid putting in large amounts.
If I can’t clearly understand how the profit is generated, I assume there is risk I am not seeing.
If withdrawals have conditions like minimum profit or extra fees, I step back.
If most information comes from social media instead of reliable sources, I take extra time to verify.
I also try not to invest based on excitement or fear of missing out. That has caused more mistakes than anything else.
One example I saw recently involved a token that gained a lot of attention online. Several people bought it without checking details, and within days the price dropped heavily after early holders sold.
That situation was not even a direct scam, but the loss was real.
Crypto can offer opportunities, but it also requires caution. Even small checks can make a big difference before investing.
