Sharing part of a conversation I had with a fake crypto trader

I want to show how this kind of scam usually starts. This is part of a conversation I had recently.

He messaged first and said he noticed I was interested in crypto.

    He asked
“Do you trade daily or just hold?”

I replied that I mostly hold.

    He said
“I can help you make weekly profits, even small amounts grow fast if done right.”

I did not respond immediately, so he sent a screenshot showing a profit from a trade.

    Later he said
“I have a private system, not available publicly, only a few people are using it now.”

I asked where the trading happens.

    He replied
“On our platform, it’s faster than normal exchanges.”

I asked if I could test with a very small amount.

    He said
“Yes, but you need to register through my link and deposit first.”

I asked if I could withdraw anytime.

    He answered
“You can withdraw after your profit cycle is complete.”

    That line made me stop.

If it is my money, there should be no restriction like that.

After that I searched online and found similar conversations posted by others. Same style, same type of replies.

It seems like they follow a script.

Just sharing this so others recognize the pattern early. These conversations start friendly, then slowly move toward asking for a deposit.

If something feels slightly off, it is better to pause and check before doing anything.
