Description of the Scam: The victim was added to a WhatsApp thread by a person named ‘Nita,’ who claimed to represent Mr. Novogratz, promoting ‘special’ investment programs through trading analyst group signals. Participants in the group chat were described as lively and shared large daily earnings, enticing further investment. Nita assisted members in setting up crypto wallets on AEX.com for trading, promising substantial returns with a 20% fee on profits. While initial small investments appeared profitable, issues emerged when the victim attempted a test withdrawal from AEX, which initially failed. Success only came when directly assisted by Nita, raising suspicions about the legitimacy of withdrawals and the operation as a whole.
