I want to alert you all to a scam I recently encountered, hoping it might prevent others from falling victim to a similar scheme.

I received a text message claiming an attempt to use my credit card in Ohio while I was located in Alabama. Initially, it seemed like a legitimate alert about potential card fraud. However, I realized it was a scam after closer examination and consideration.

I also have the phone numbers from which this scam text was sent. I’m willing to share these with the appropriate authorities or any concerned community member to help with more awareness and prevention.
