I fell victim to a cryptocurrency scam on altgetxio.com, losing $2,000. The scheme enticed users with the promise of receiving $10,000 in free cryptocurrency simply for signing up. The scam involved instructing users to transfer a specific amount of money with the assurance of receiving $10,000 in Bitcoin in return. However, after transferring the cryptocurrency, refunds were refused, and access to my cold storage wallet was demanded under the pretense of retrieving my funds. This demand was merely a strategy to gain access and subsequently empty my cold storage wallet of all its cryptocurrency.
