Asked Them to Deduct the Fee From My Balance

This was probably the simplest question in the whole conversation.

The trading account showed $9,400.

The withdrawal fee was supposedly $380.

So the investor said:

“No problem. Deduct the $380 from my balance and send me the rest.”

Support refused.

They said the fee had to be paid separately.

He asked why.

“The withdrawal system cannot deduct external processing charges.”

Fine.

Then he suggested withdrawing $500 first. They could take the $380 fee and send him the remaining $120.

Still impossible.

Now he became curious rather than frustrated.

If the $9,400 showing in his account was genuinely available, why couldn’t any part of it be used to cover a relatively small charge?

Support responded with a long explanation involving liquidity, blockchain validation, and international processing.

But after all those words, the requirement remained exactly the same:

Send new money.

The investor didn’t.

Instead, he went back through his previous conversations and noticed something else. Before he deposited, the account manager had repeatedly said there were “no hidden withdrawal charges.”

He saved that message alongside the new payment request.

I think this is a useful question whenever an unexpected withdrawal charge appears:

Why can’t you deduct it from the funds you already claim to hold for me?

There may be legitimate situations where fees must be handled separately, so the answer alone doesn’t establish fraud.

But if every possible solution is rejected except sending additional cryptocurrency to a new wallet, I’d want a clear and independently verifiable explanation before doing anything.

Sometimes one ordinary question can cut through a lot of complicated terminology.
