Free Crypto Signals? The Real Cost Came Later

FREE SIGNALS. 90% ACCURACY. NO MEMBERSHIP FEE.

    That’s what the group advertised.

For the first week, the admin posted trading signals publicly. Some appeared profitable, others didn’t. Nothing too unusual.

    Then a private message arrived.

“You’ve been active in the group. We can add you to our private signals channel.”

    Still free, apparently.

There was only one condition: open an account with their “partner trading platform” and deposit $300.

    So… not really free.

The member deposited the money. Soon after, the dashboard showed $470. A few more signals pushed the displayed balance above $700.

Naturally, he tried to withdraw some of it.

    Withdrawal pending.

Support said his trading volume was too low.

    More signals followed.

    Withdrawal pending again.

This time, his account needed an upgrade.

    That’s where he stopped.

What interests me about this case is the way the offer changed little by little.

Free group → private access → partner platform → deposit → displayed profit → withdrawal conditions

At no point did the scam need an aggressive sales pitch. The victim was moved from one step to another until money was already involved.

I see the word “free” used constantly in crypto groups now. Free signals, free mentoring, free analysis.

    Maybe the better question is:

What are they eventually trying to make me do?

Sometimes the price of a “free” service only becomes clear after you’ve joined.
