One thing I keep noticing whenever a coin becomes extremely popular

I’ve been watching crypto markets for a while, and there is one pattern that I keep seeing.

Whenever a coin suddenly becomes the center of attention, people stop talking about risk.

It starts with excitement.

A project gains momentum. The price moves up. Social media becomes full of screenshots showing profits. New videos appear every day explaining why the project is different from everything else.

Then something interesting happens.

Questions become less common.

Instead of asking about liquidity, token distribution, or long term development, people focus almost entirely on price predictions.

I saw this happen recently with a project that was trending everywhere. New investors were joining discussions every hour. Most conversations revolved around how high the price could go.

Very few people were asking who held the largest wallets.

Very few people were checking whether early investors could sell large amounts at any moment.

When the market eventually cooled, many of those discussions disappeared.

The project still existed, but expectations had changed completely.

That experience reminded me that popularity and safety are not the same thing.

A project can have a large community and still carry significant risk.

The more attention a project receives, the more important it becomes to step back and evaluate it calmly.

Sometimes the biggest investment risk is not the technology.

Sometimes it is the excitement surrounding it.
