I joined a dating site for a 3-day trial and received an invoice for $595, with a note mentioning PayPal Assistance had set up an auto-renew option for 24 months of Bitcoin product validity, totaling $565. I was informed no action was required on my part unless I wished to modify the strategy, with a 24-hour window for changes. The renewal was processed for 2 years on February 3, 2024, and the amount was said to take up to 24 hours to reflect in my bank statements.

After calling 1-818-570-5846 within 2 days to request a refund and cancel the service, they promised to refund me via my Venmo account but instead withdrew an additional $1700 from my account. The site in question was “Date my age. Com”. After spending an hour on the phone expressing my distrust and being denied a refund, the representative, who later called back from 1-412-930-7470, was blocked by me. I am now reporting this incident and believe my bank will reverse the charges.
